The world’s most original wooden warship hosted teams from two long-standing seafaring nations in Dundee on Friday 1 November 2013.
Dundee-based leading engineering manufacturer Galloway Group welcomed a team of 60 people from Icelandic air conditioning specialist Isloft aboard HM Frigate Unicorn – and introduced them to some of Scotland’s finest traditions, including Scotland’s national dish, haggis – and Scotland’s National Bard,Robert Burns, at a special celebration meal – complete with Icelandic translations! And with a former Army piping instructor on hand to lend a real Scottish flavour to the occasion, it was an unforgettable day for Galloway’s Icelandic visitors.
Jim Mathieson, Managing Director of Galloway Group, said “We’re proud of our long heritage of working with our customers in Iceland – and across the globe – to manufacture quality engineering solutions. We’re delighted to be able to show our Icelandic friends just what we can do – and the best of Scottish hospitality while they’re here.”
